hah! that’s never true in this industry!

but there are some serious balls of fur out there worthy of this title. we couldn’t pick just one and ignore some of the other exceptional entries, so we have one winner and two runner-ups.

custom KMM tote bags will be awarded to each and the winner will have an editorial spread and interview in an upcoming KMM post.

so, without further ado.

cleo, whose iconic and exotic nature definitely caught our eye.

first runner up is…

pinto pony, a gender-queer kitty who made all of mister’s whiskers bristle with intrigue.

buster won us over with a flair for sm’eyes-ing (see above) and a passion for parading around under ladies’ dresses.

we know.

FOREVER. and we’re asking for just a little more patience.

we’ve put most of our jobs on hold while we stay up nights staring at the submissions, trying to decide. we’ve called in experts and allies, all in an attempt to come to a final decision.

so far, bokser and i cannot agree on just one winner.

but you will all know, very soon, who has in fact CLAWED ON TOP to become KMM’s Next Top Kitty Model.

i’m in shock!
we’ve broken our own record: our unique visits has hit 1000! 

when we started this, all we wanted was to share the true stories from the lives of two success cat blog models. now, we have readers from around the country and friends around the world.

with the Next Top Kitty Model contest, who knows who the next It Cat will be!

hello my purrrrrrties,

we are thrilled at how many of you submitted materials for KMM’s first ever Next Top Kitty Model. we appreciate your patience as the judges go through all of your amazing photographs, with such interesting angles and fluffs! we will announce the winner very soon.

in the meantime, i got a nice spread published in an art house magazine. we took these a weeks ago, but i had heard a rumor that the story was cut. then i got a royalty check in the mail today. always nice.

 

it’s always nice when your work is honored (in pay and print!)

hey loves.

i don’t know what to say. it has taken us a full week of meditation and cleanses to reacclimatize to being home this time. i’m sorry that this means we haven’t posted for days. we’ve missed you…

i did have a gig yesterday though, which kind of snapped me back into reality. luckily i was feeling super zen-ed out from all the ‘om’ing and detoxifying tonics. my fur looks lush, if i do say so. the gig was for an edgy beauty company, but we’re not yet sure if a campaign will materialize from this. paws and claws crossed, right!?

back to life / back to reality

hey folks.

we made it. the trip back took so much less time than the one getting there. i don’t understand it — we had to take a plane, a train, a boat, a horse, and then walk nearly a mile to get to our secret photo shoot location. i’m still trying to make sense of it all.

anyway, we’re back. and as cool as that place was, it is always good to be home. things smell right, the furniture doesn’t move by itself, there’s no “glitter-wind.” i didn’t for a second know what was going on. i made some really great new friends, but we got so close so quickly. i don’t know how it all happened.

early morning commercial work today — thankfully, we’re all about new york again.
